According to The History Blog, luxury handbag maker Gherardini has produced a limited edition purse based on a sketch by Leonardo Da Vinci from over 500 years ago.
It’s believed that Leonardo Da Vinci sketched the accessory in 1497 while he was painting The Last Supper. More than five centuries after his death, Italian fashion house Gherardini has decided to manufacture the sketch and name it “Pretiosa” (Italian for precious). The Italian boutique has produced 99 of the handmade calfskin bags which will go on sale starting March 1st.
Below watch a video of an artisan making the luxury Pretiosa bag:

If you guys haven’t checked out seagull yet, do it now. Their custom work is insane, and their bags are fantastic.

This is such a cute idea! Rifle Paper Co. are offering custom illustrated holiday cards.
You send them a photo, and the insanely talented Anna Bond will hand-paint you and your family (or dogs, no judgment).
Take a look!
I love seeing ladies killin’ it in design. Dana Tanamachi has such beautiful lettering. I absolutely love her work, and have so much respect for her craft. Chalk is stunning.
Check out this time-lapse of her new opener for Garden & Gun’s 50 Best Southern Foods feature.
Speaking of Garden & Gun, their recipe for Bourbon and Spicy Ginger Soda sounds pretty damn good.
Well. This is just tremendous.
I kind of wish it were a real thing. who wants to make geek beer with me?
this weekend, my goal is to find some wooden pallets. they’re thrown away everyday, and they’re such a good resource.
I want to use several to cover the entire back wall of my bedroom, turning them horizontally, so floating shelves can be stuck in the spaces if I want. I think I may also make a bookcase. yes, I will be using power tools. let us all pray.
